Cabinet Maker
Job Summary
Under the direction of the Supervisor and/or Plant Manager, Cabinet Makers are responsible for fabricating custom millwork to meet Washington Woodworking Company’s high-quality standards and project specifications.
Key Duties
- Follow work assignments provided by the Supervisor, Lead Person, Shop Supervisor, or Plant Manager while maximizing efficiency in time, materials, and equipment use.
- Read and interpret shop drawings to ensure precise fabrication.
- Operate and maintain woodworking machinery, hand tools, power tools, and other equipment, including saws, routers, and stationary machines.
- Construct and assemble cabinets, paneling, furniture, and other millwork per drawings provided by the drafting department.
- Ensure compliance with company and safety regulations.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Work effectively as part of a team and independently with minimal supervision.

Uphold industry standards, including AWI specifications, and demonstrate knowledge of materials such as:
- Wood species and grades
- Plywoods and particleboards
- Hardware, laminates, and veneers
- Manage workload efficiently to meet project deadlines while maintaining labor and material cost targets.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in cabinet making (preferred).
- Strong ability to read and understand architectural millwork drawings.
- In-depth knowledge of millwork materials and industry standards.
- Ability to work 40+ hours per week, including overtime as needed.
- Commitment to quality craftsmanship and attention to detail.
Additional Information
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $18.00 – $30.00 per hour (commensurate with experience)
Schedule
- Monday to Friday, 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM
- Overtime available
- Paid weekly
