Jimmy began his career with Washington Woodworking as a journeyman in the shop. He moved on to work in the layout department and then he became the foreman of the veneer department. As a foreman, Jimmy operates a forklift, receives and tracks FSC material, runs the veneer sander and operates the press line and when necessary he backs up the panel saw operator. During his time with Washington Woodworking, he has won 3 Annual Washington Building Congress Craftsmanship Awards for his expert craftsmanship.
