Ruben was introduced to woodworking by his father, a woodworking finisher, when he was in high school. He moved to Colombia, South America in 2006 to study Architecture. While finishing his architecture degree, he gained experience in sales informing and as a construction resident. After graduation, he joined a multinational group, Civiscorp S.A., under the Management, Planning and Project Control team. Later he joined the transportation system in the city of Cali, Colombia as an architect for the office of Studies, Designs and Bidding ascribed to Infrastructure Management. Ruben returned to the United States in 2015 and started working with his father again in the woodworking industry. Hejoined Washington Woodworking Company in October 2017, where he started as a Draftsmen. Ruben later was promoted to his current position as a Draftsmen/Assistant Project Manager.
